With all this talk of Google Glass, we never see any innovation from it. But, this invention not only helps control the glass however. It also helps control daily tasks and ideas. Using a special kind of bracelet, a virtual keyboard is created on the wearers Google Glass allowing for typing on a virtual scale. Not only does a keyboard appear it also "will also allow for mousing and gesture control" virtually. This could be the step we need to advance from our small minded ideas and creations to achieve the Sci-fi universe we've hoped for.
This largely affects my school work due to the abundance of technology. With this new invention on the horizon, we could be looking at only a few years until it hits personal computer aspects. This could largely help bring in more consumers and also help a new digital era smoothly adapt. This invention also helps in the way that teachers could present the lesson virtually from a podium or desk, effectively multi-tasking. So many ideas for a small classroom.
This idea could also be used outside the classroom and a variety of more ways. With this idea, new computers could allow for a more personal access from far away. keyboards that allow us to use whenever and portability from any surface. This invention could also make many of the keyboard manufactures business trouble. But at the same time, give consumers they have always wanted. whatever the decision its sure to effect the world in one way or another.
The articles writer used several examples of excellent writing skills. throughout the blog, He used correct grammar and also gave in depth info about the product. I also enjoyed the length of the article. It waasnt one paragraph, but many that each explained something new. Whatever the case, I would read another article by this author guaranteed.

X-Ray Wi-Fi
In today’s world many safety
devices have been created in order to protect and keep us safe. Of all the
devices in the world, this one is extremely cheap and could also be the most
beneficial in our lives. The Wi-Vi device is useful in the sense that it can
see through walls. The technology uses Wi-Fi sources and transmitting antennas
which cancel out all signals that match each other. The result is a human tracking
software that is safe and cost effective. The Wi-Vi device can also be used by
police or rescue squads to assist in recovery or emergency operations.
I believe that our school could very
easily use this new technology for safety reasons. If we were trapped by an
outside intruder or crushed under rubble due to a tornado or storm, emergency
officials could find our location immediately. Since Wi-Fi sources are typically
located in every room, it would be cost-effective and easy to set-up. Another
important factor is the importance to classroom life. We could utilize this
technology to create smart classrooms that help teach children in a more
cognitive way. We could reinforce lessons through games, puzzles, and activities
created especially for this software. Once again just to reiterate, the best
part about the software is the cost effectiveness and the speed and ease of the
installation.
This
technology could be used by household consumer’s everywhere. Not only for safety
and security but also for improvement of our everyday lives. It could be used
to turn on and off lights, close doors, set alarms, and control daily life with
a flick of the wrist. I can also see using this technology when I go to college
and stay in the dorms there. Due to the easy of the applications involved with
the Wi-Vi system, I would feel secure knowing that I could be tracked. By
having this new technology in place it would just give me peace of mind. Not
only for myself but also for the rest of the student body and those living on campus.

Bleeding Passwords
Cipriani, Jason. "Which Sites Have Patched the Heartbleed Bug?" CNET. CBS Interactive, 9 Apr. 2014. Web. 10 Apr. 2014.
Summary- Just a few days ago a new encryption key devastated Yahoo and other companies. Known as the " Heartbleed Bug" it allows for almost anybody to discover your password, username, and other sensitive data. Not only does this effect Yahoo sites, but also Google Prezi, and other sites we use a school daily. This could pose a big risk if it is not dealt wit quickly.
Connection- This bug literally jeopardizes the school work we students complete on Google and other websites. If we can't securely store our work, then we are in jeopardy of scoring 0 on most of our assignments. Not only this, it could cause trouble with home life due irresponsible people searching bad things on our accounts without us knowing. This could be the scariest thing that could happen to our accounts this year.
Reaction- I believe that this could truly damage our social world and bring us all down with it. This bug could be modified to work in the possible future if it is not repaired immediately. This bug could also make hackers and other social attackers more frequent and brave as the year continues. All I have to say it is needs to be fixed quickly and monitored so that future incidents do not occur.

VLC player for Windows 8
Summary:
A VLC player is a media or online player. It allows you to stream music, watch DVD's, view data, or just relax. The Windows 8 version of this technology has been long awaited and needed for this advanced operating system. The company claimed that "a Surface version of VLC would be part of a second release." And would allow for more portable access.
Connection:
I chose this article because I am a big fan of this technology. I use it all the time for movies on my computer, music, or to just watch MP3 movies. I also use this technology at school in my movie class, t allows us o watch movies without much hassle. I also envision it being a new lesson plan for our school to learn about how to utilize it.
Reaction:
I am ecstatic for the release of this app. I am actually one of the few who appreciate the Windows 8 software, and I think this app is the perfect addition. It would allow for streaming with less hassle when on the go. When the surface app emerges, it will allow us to be well equipped for a changing world.

Real Life RoboCops
Imagine the Robocop we have all come to love in films, on our streets at home. A project in the works called Telebot is that cop. It was created to help disabled cops continue their work while being disabled. Using specialized sensors as controllers, it allows the human to look, move, and listen to the robots surroundings. Not only does this help the work Although the article admitted that "it's nowhere near as advanced as the tech depicted in the movie" it is still nothing to laugh at.
I think this deeply connects to our world and how we view it. Imagine a world where officers get another chance to be in the field and help those around him. This research and invention could help lead to much more than helping officers, but help create a safer future. It can also connect to the future where this research could make Robocops the number one force on the street.
I think this connects to me personally in many ways beyond the scope of our thinking. I have always wanted there to be a world where we wouldn't have to worry about officers or emergency personnel being harmed on the streets. This tech could help replace and make officers better in the field and help make our streets even better to live within. But that is just me personally, but I could see others being more excited and excepting of this new technology.

Oskar Schindler: Unsung Hero
During the holocaust many people died, but many others were saved. One brave man saved a majority of these Jewish prisoners and had one of the most influential story of holocaust. Schindler, a business man, wanted to have cheap labor via paychecks of pots and pan's. In order to keep his workers healthy, he bribed party members and soldiers. He later made a list of names, later known as Schindler's list, of Jews he would require for his new factory. This list saved more than 1,00 Jews from the Auschwitz camp and many others and made a armaments camp. Within a year they created more than one wagon full of ammo. after the war he was awarded many medals for his efforts and accomplishments. He died without many knowing or hearing his name.

Smartphone Watch For Kids. Yup.
Today in our world kids are getting all the latest and new gear, but soon a new device will jit stores. A new kids Smartwatch is being developed for kids to enjoy the ability to tell time and play games. This may become a new fad or even just a bad marketing ploy gone wrong. either way, I am sure this will cause many people to stop and turn their heads.
This connects to our work I think very deeply. if you think about it, this could help revolutionize device use in school( if it's allowed in school that is) and help make more kid friendly apps. The downside to this though is that it could create a new chaos among our kids that we just aren't prepared for.
Personally, I think its very odd how it took begging and pleading to get new devices, but kids today get new electronics like they were old news.I find it a little disturbing that V-Tech is the manufacture of these products. this could mean it will be great for kids or just end up being worthless trash. either way it goes, I am sure that it will all interest us to see how this will end.
